OBJETIVOS
• Describir la teoría de la selección clonal
• Señalar los elementos y mecanismos que participan en la formación de anticuerpos
• Explicar las alteraciones celulares y moleculares de los elementos que participan en la inmunidad humoral
• Mencionar las diferencias de la respuesta inmunológica primaria y secundaria

La respuesta inmune especifica, se considera que puede ser de dos tipos: Humoral y Celular.
Cuando el elemento efector final son las inmunoglobulinas formadas por los linfocitos B se trata de una RESPUESTA TIPO HUMORAL.
Cuando participan los linfocitos T se trata de una RESPUESTA TIPO CELULAR.

• La respuesta dominada por células CD4+ Th1, producirá respuestas celulares /inflamatorias
• Las respuestas dominadas por células CD4+ Th2 producirá fundamentalmente anticuerpos
• La mayor parte de los patógenos inducen una respuesta mixta (mezcla de ambos tipos)
• El que la respuesta sea de un tipo u otro viene determinado por la célula presentadora de antígeno, el tipo de patógeno infectante y las células de la inmunidad innata que se activen en primera instancia

CÉLULAS DEL LINAJE DE LOS MONOCITOS-MACRÓFAGOS
Los monocitos dan lugar a distintos tipos de: • Macrófagos, • Células dendríticas y • otras células del linaje de los macrófagos que se diferencian por su función y localización hística.
Los marcadores de superficie de los monocitos-macrófagos se corresponden con las funciones celulares.

CÉLULAS DEL LINAJE DE LOS MONOCITOS-MACRÓFAGOS
Estas células expresan las siguientes proteínas:
1. Receptores de opsoninas ( ej., Fc de Igs y del Complemento).
2. Lectinas (proteínas de unión específica a azúcares)
3. Receptores tipo toll, los cuales reconocen PMAP y generan señales para la activación celular.
4. Un receptor (CD 14) de la proteína de unión al lipopolisacárido, el cual facilita la captación de las bacterias y promueve la activación.
5. Moléculas de adhesión que favorecen las interacciones celulares; ej., antígeno asociado a la función leucocitaria-1 (LFA-1).
6. Proteínas B 7 y CPH de clase II que posibilitan presentación de Ags a las células.

Respuestas de hipersensibilidad por contacto y a la tuberculina. Estas respuestas de tipo IV están mediadas por la IC, difieren en cuanto a los Sx y la localización del infiltrado celular. La hipersensibilidad por contacto tiene lugar en la epidermis y ocasiona formación de ampollas; la hipersensibilidad tipo tuberculínico ocurre en la dermis y se caracteriza por tumefacción.
