Product information
They are components that allow the connection between the harness and the anchor point, they areused to:Fall restriction: limits the area of the worker, delimiting the area of movement.Fall arrest: reduce the force received by the user in case of arrest of a free fall, include energyabsorber.Positioning: they are used to be located at the work point, allowing the use of both hands for theassigned work, it is connected simultaneously to the side rings of the harness.Scrolling: allow the user to scroll vertically or horizontally, maintaining connection to at least oneanchor point.Lanyards that do not have an energy absorber should not be used for fall arrest.

Harnesses are personal protective equipment that are a fundamental part of the safety chain, theyare classified by their number of anchorage conectors and the figure they form on the user's chest,as follows:Due to its style, its selection is based on the comfort of the user for the development of the assignedactivities, “H Style” (horizontal strap on the chest), “X style (front ring), Y style (two front rings) Thenumber of rings depends on the need to use accessories of the safety chain simultaneously to carryout the activity. The front anchorage of the harnesses that present it is not for fall arrest, it shouldonly be used for displacement. The dorsal anchorage must be used for fall arrest systems, Maximumstretch 45.6cm

They are systems developed to reduce the force generated during a free fall, avoiding theapplication of loads to the user's body and therefore preventing injuries. The energy absorbersmust be connected to the dorsal anchorage of the user's harness (see direction of use on the label). The maximum arresting force is less than 8 kN and the average force is less than 4 kNThe elongation of the energy absorbing lanyard will be less than: 1.2m for 6ft slings and 1.5m for12ft lanyards. The energy absorber initiates deployment when its component system is fully stretched. Thecalculation of the clarity requirement should be considered before using personal energy absorberor energy absorbing lanyards. If required for the design of protection systems, request a dynamic test chart.

Textile elements: Ropes and straps are from virgin synthetic polyester and / or polyamide material, with an elongation of less than 10% with 8kN. 45mm wide for straps and 13 or 16mm diameter forropes, with a minimum tensile strength of 22.2kN, bright colors to facilitate inspection and highresistance to UV radiation. Technical threads for sewing of the same material as the rope-strap, of adifferent color to the material on which the sewing is made and separated from the edge at least2mm.Metallic elements: Rings, hooks and buckles in high tenacity steel alloys or aluminum in certaincases, minimum resistance of 22.2kN and 17.8kN respectively, coating that prevents oxidation, polished edges, free of burrs, edges, cracks and mechanical deformations. We use double automatic safety hooks, with different opening optionsPlastic elements: We use thimbles, pins, seam protectors, etc. which are produced by injection, under technically controlled methods. The materials used in our production processes are inspectedand evaluated in the organization's testing laboratory, under statistical methods for the selection ofsamples and complying with the execution parameters for the tests mentioned in the technicalstandards applicable to each element.

If you need to carry out activities under these conditions, take additionalpreventive or corrective measures for protection during the execution of the activity.Verify that the equipment is docked and that the connectors are closed and properly locked.Exposure to UV radiation can cause loss of color and / or degradation of the textile elements, evaluate in each inspection. When using displacement devices (elevators, descenders, length adjusters and / or fallarrestors, verify the existence of some means to prevent them from coming off the rope, slingor line used; such as counterweights, stops, etc.
The inspection of the equipment must be a periodic activity (at least one per year) and planned ofwhich it must be recorded, this must be carried out by a person endorsed by Eusse Seguridadcompetent in the matter.Process:Traceability review (resume and previous inspections): this must contain complete equipmentinformation such as: serial number, certification, reference, user, evidence of compliance with themaintenance and inspection program.Inspect each item of equipmentTextile elements ropes, ropes and other components of the equipment showing deterioration ordefects such as: chemical or heat burns; dimensions: width, gauge, length, diameter andperforations or cuts. Metal elements hooks, carabiners, buckles and others. Look for defects suchas oxidation, deformation, cracks, defects in operation. Dimensions: width, gauge, length, etc.General, the existence of foreign elements, modifications, alterations and other anomalies in theproduct must be verified.Note:• When the equipment supports a free fall, it must be taken out of service immediately and clearlylabeled avoiding its accidental use. In case of definitive decommissioning, identify or destroy theequipment so that it cannot be used again accidentally or through lack of knowledge.• When the equipment is declared non-compliant after inspection, it must be removed fromservice and marked so that it is not used by mistake, in case the product is not susceptible topreventive or corrective maintenance (performed only by the manufacturer ) the product must bedestroyed to prevent it from being used again.
