mitigate electoral violence; e) provide

specialized technical assistance to

promote and implement political and

electoral reform in Guatemala; d) design

a strategy to increase political and

electoral participation by women, people

th disabilities, indigenous peoples and

the LGTB community as a means to

guarantee their civil and political rights in

an inclusive and comprehensive manner

El TSE como la mxima

autoridad en materia electoral, y dentro

del cumplimiento de sus :funciones

establecidas en la Constitucin Poltica y

la Ley Electoral y de Partidos Polticos,

se compromete a facilitar la

im plementacin de las actividades

previstas en el Proyecto, sin que ello

signifique o afecte la autonoma propia

del ente Electoral

USAID, a travs de su

proyecto de asistencia electoral apoyar

la ejecucin de actividades para la

obtencin de los siguientes resultados: a)

fortalecimiento de las capacidades del

TSE para monitorear, controlar y

fiscalizar el financiamiento de los

partidos polticos y campaas electorales;

b) fortalecimiento de los sistemas y

procedimientos del TSE para identificar

zo n

as de riesgo y mitigar la violencia

electoral; e) brindar asistencia tcnica

especializada en la promocion e

implementacin de la reforma poltica y

electoral en Guatemala; d) diseo de una

estrategia para incrementar la

participacin poltica y electoral de la

mujer,

las personas con discapacidad, los

pueblos indgenasy de las personas

LGTBI, y as garantizar sus derechos

cvicos y polticos, de manera integral e

incluyente
