La tarjeta ciudadana es un carné que se usa para pagar el autobús con descuento, en vuestro caso, de estudiante universitario. Además, esa tarjeta tiene un número de residente.

El NIE es el Número de Identidad de Extranjero, es equivalente al DNI (ID de los españoles). Este número identificativo es muy útil a la hora de viajar, ya que con él os podéis sacar el Certificado de Viaje para obtener el 50% de descuento a la hora de viajar en avión y barco, igual que cualquier ciudadano español residente en las Islas Baleares. Por lo que es una gran oportunidad para vosotros si queréis viajar por el territorio español.

¿CÓMO OBTENER LA TARJETA CIUDADANA?

Para poder obtener la tarjeta ciudadana (que recordad que es la tarjeta del bus) es necesario tener:

- Tu ID. - Un contrato de piso a tu nombre (o si resides en casa de una amigo, una carta de tu

amigo, con su ID y nombre, que diga que tú vives con él/ella). - La matrícula de la UIB o la tarjeta de estudiante.

Cuando tengas la documentación, debes ir a uno de los siguientes puntos OAC (Oficina de

Es importante pedir la cita antes de vuestra llegada a Mallorca, porque la cita suele ser dos meses después de haberla pedido. En este link, verás las oficinas anteriormente nombradas. Elige la que te vaya mejor.

Por ejemplo, he elegido OAC CORT. En la siguiente página, haz click en “Solicitud de cita previa para trámites padronales”.

En el siguiente paso, deberás bajar hasta donde pone “Solicitud de cita previa”. Un poco más abajo, debes hacer click en “haciendo click aquí” para seguir la solicitud de la cita.

En la siguiente página, asegúrate que el idioma está en “Castellano” (para que puedas seguir las instrucciones como mostramos en la guía). Después, haz click en “Alta Padrón Municipal de Habitantes de Palma”.

A continuación, te muestran un listado de oficinas, la dirección y la primera cita disponible. Haz click en la oficina que te vaya mejor. Recomendación: elige una cita con 10-15 días de diferencia desde tu llegada a Mallorca, así te dará tiempo a conseguir la tarjeta de estudiante o matrícula de la UIb, y tu contrato de piso.

Cuando hayas elegido una oficina, te saldrá un calendario. Los días en verde son los disponibles; los días en lila son los días festivos. Si es de color gris, el día no está disponible o aún no han sacado la opción de poder elegir cita. Puedes cambiar de oficina haciendo click en “Cambiar de centro”.

La siguiente opción es para elegir la hora. Haz click en la hora que te vaya mejor.

Una vez que has elegido día y hora, el siguiente paso es rellenar el formulario con tus datos personales.

- Pasaporte - Nombre - Primer apellido - Segundo apellido (si tienes) - Email - Número de teléfono

Una vez rellenado todos los datos, haz click en “Reservar Cita”.

¿CÓMO OBTENER EL NIE?

IMPORTANTE: Antes de empezar este proceso, debes tener en cuenta que es importante tener una dirección española para rellenar el formulario; así que, cuando lleguéis a Mallorca y os instaléis en vuestra casa, tened a mano vuestro contrato de piso. Además, debéis haceros la Tarjeta Ciudadana (que es la misma tarjeta que la del bus) antes de acudir a la cita para NIE; por lo que no olvidéis leer el apartado anterior.

A partir de este paso, hay que tener en cuenta vuestra nacionalidad, ya que los estudiantes

os dividís entre: Comunitarios (aquellos estudiantes que venís de la Comunidad Europea) y los No Comunitarios (los estudiantes que vienen de fuera de la Comunidad Europea, incluídos aquellos que vienen de países extra-comunitarios a través de las universidades europeas). Además, los No Comunitarios os dividís en dos categorías: los que tienen NIE en el visado y los que no.

COMUNITARIOS Documentación necesaria:

- 2 copias del formulario EX-18 - Fotocopia del pasaporte. - Foto carnet (recomendamos llevar más de una, por si acaso). Medidas: 25mm

ancho x 32mm alto. A color, de frente, sin gafas y con el fondo blanco. - Fotocopia de la Tarjeta Sanitaria Europea. - Carta de aceptación de la UIB/ tarjeta de estudiante de la UIB/ matrícula.

Entrad en el siguiente link: https://sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es/icpplus/citar?p=7 Donde pone “PROVINCIA SELECCIONADA” debéis seleccionar “Illes Balears”; y donde pone “TRÁMITES DISPONIBLES PARA LA PROVINCIA SELECCIONADA” debéis seleccionar “CERTIFICADOS UE”. Una vez hecha la elección, haz click en “Aceptar”

La siguiente pantalla os informa que debéis entregar, el día de la cita, formulario de solicitud EX-18 (mirar anexo) original y copia. Además, nos informa de que si vamos a cambiar una cita, o nos hemos equivocado al escribir nuestros datos y estamos haciendo otra solicitud, que anulamos la cita que no vayamos a usar. Para seguir con el trámite, haz click en “Entrar”.

El siguiente paso es introducir tu pasaporte y tu nombre completo y apellido/s. También debes escribir el código Captcha y hacer click en “Aceptar”.

El siguiente paso consiste en obtener una cita. Primero, hay que poner el código Captcha y después hacer click en “SOLICITAR CITA”.

A continuación, debemos seleccionar la oficina a donde tendrás que ir, en vuestro caso la dirección es c/ Feliciá Fuster (p. lateral), 7 (Palma de Mallorca). Haz click en “SIGUIENTE”.

Después de seleccionar la oficina, tenemos que rellenar los datos que nos piden a continuación:

- teléfono - correo electrónico/email - volver a escribir el correo electrónico/ email - escribir el código CAPTCHA

No escribáis donde pone “Motivo o tipo de solicitud de la cita” porque no es obligatorio.

A continuación, haz click en “SIGUIENTE”.

El siguiente paso es elegir el día y la hora de la cita. Es recomendable que elijas una cita a partir de los 10-15 días de vuestra llegada a Mallorca, para que os dé tiempo a conseguir vuestra Tarjeta Ciudadana y la tarjeta de estudiante de la UIB (y/o la matrícula). Desgraciadamente, sólo se muestran 3 días por lo que, si no os va bien, deberéis ir haciendo el formulario para pedir la cita hasta que podáis elegir una que os vaya bien. Tenéis 5 minutos para elegir la cita y hacer click en “SIGUIENTE”.

Una vez elegida la cita, la siguiente pantalla te muestra los datos/información que habéis proporcionado (nombre, teléfono, email) y los datos de la cita. Asegúrate de que son correctos; si es así, marca las dos casillas que ponen “Estoy conforme con la información mostrada en pantalla” y “Deseo recibir un correo electrónico con los datos de mi cita en la dirección que he proporcionado”. Y haz click en “CONFIRMAR”. Si hay algún dato que no es correcto, haz click en “VOLVER”.

En la última pantalla te sale la confirmación de la cita y te sale el número de justificante de la cita, que deberás anotar. En los datos de la cita, a parte de salir la dirección, día y hora, te aparece el número de mesa que te corresponde. Te recomendamos imprimir los datos de la cita, para ello haz click en “IMPRIMIR”.

Una vez termines el trámite, y haber recogido y rellenado la documentación necesaria, debes esperar al día de la cita. Cuando llegues a la oficina y entregues los papeles, te darán un documento con una dirección bancaria y una cuenta (dependiendo del día es un banco u otro) en la que deberás ir e ingresar 10,60€ (en el caso del formulario Ex-18). Una vez hecho el pago y obtenido el recibo del banco, debes volver a la oficina para entregar el recibo. Es posible que te entreguen ese mismo día tu NIE o tendrás que esperar alrededor de 5 días hábiles.

NO COMUNITARIOS (con NIE) Como hemos dicho anteriormente, los estudiantes no comunitarios se dividen entre: los

que tienen NIE en el visado y los que no tienen NIE. ¿Cómo podemos saberlo? Por el visado. Si tienes el NIE, en vuestro visado te debe de aparecer:

1) El sello de entrada a España (o en el espacio Shengen). 2) En “válido para” debe de poner “ESPAÑA”. 3) En “observaciones” hay escrito “N.I.E y el número (por ejemplo: N.I.E

Donde pone “PROVINCIA SELECCIONADA” debes seleccionar “Illes Balears”; y donde pone “TRÁMITES DISPONIBLES PARA LA PROVINCIA SELECCIONADA” debes seleccionar “TOMA DE HUELLAS (EXPEDICIÓN DE TARJETA) Y RENOVACIÓN DE TARJETA DE LARGA DURACIÓN”. Una vez hecha la elección, haz click en “ACEPTAR”

En la siguiente ventana, te explica la documentación que debes llevar para obtener tu Tarjeta de Identificación de Extranjeros. La documentación que debes presentar es:

- Fotocopia del pasaporte. - 2 copias del formulario Ex-17 (anexo). - Copia del visado con el sello de España (a en el espacio Shengen). - Foto tamaño carné (recomendable llevar varias). Medidas: 25mm ancho x 32mm alto. A

color, de frente, sin gafas y con el fondo blanco. - Copia del seguro médico. - Copia de la carta de aceptación de la UIB - Copia de la matrícula de la UIB. - Justificante del pago de la tasa 790 código 012 (el impreso se puede recoger en la policía

o en el siguiente link: https://sede.policia.gob.es:38089/Tasas/). El pago debe hacerse ANTES del día de la cita.

El día de la cita hay que llevar TODOS los documentos originales, y recomendamos llevar la tarjeta de estudiante de la UIB. Haz click en “ENTRAR”, que se encuentra más abajo.

El siguiente paso consiste en poner tus datos: pasaporte, nombre completo y apellido/s, nacionalidad y, por último, escribir el código Captcha. En el recuadro “Fecha de Caducidad de su tarjeta actual” no hay que escribir. Una vez rellenado, hacer click en “ACEPTAR”.

A continuación, escribe el código Captcha y haz click en “SOLICITAR CITA”.

Después debemos seleccionar la oficina a donde tendréis que ir, en vuestro caso la dirección es c/ Feliciá Fuster (p. lateral), 7 (Palma de Mallorca). Haz click en “SIGUIENTE”.

Después de seleccionar la oficina, tenemos que rellenar los datos que nos piden a continuación:

A continuación, haz click en “SIGUIENTE”.

NO COMUNITARIOS (sin NIE)

Los estudiantes no comunitarios y que no han obtenido el NIE junto a su visado deberán hacer clicar en el siguiente link https://sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es/icpplus/citar?p=7 y seleccionar “Illes Balears” de la casilla de “PROVINCIAS DISPONIBLES”. En la siguiente ventana que os saldrá, “TRÁMITES DISPONIBLES PARA LA PROVINCIA SELECCIONADA”, selecciona la opción “Asignación de N.I.E.” y a continuación haz click en “Aceptar”.

La siguiente ventana te informa de los documentos que debes llevar el día de la cita:

1. Fotocopia del pasaporte. 2. Indicar el motivo de la petición. 3. 2 copias del formulario Ex-15 (¡¡¡Hay que rellenar el formulario EX-15 , PERO no hay que

firmarlo hasta que la persona que te atienda en la oficina de extranjería te lo autorice!!!) 4. Copia del visado con el sello de entrada a España (o en el espacio Shengen). 5. Fotos de tamaño carné (se recomienda llevar varias). Medidas: 25mm ancho x 32mm alto.

A color, de frente, sin gafas y con el fondo blanco. 6. Copia de la carta de aceptación de la UIB. 7. Copia de la matrícula de la UIB

Importante llevar los documentos originales de todos los documentos.

Haz click en “entrar”.

El siguiente paso es poner tus datos: - Primero debes elegir el tipo de documento, en este caso “Pasaporte”. - En primer recuadro, que pone Pasaporte, debes escribir tu número de pasaporte sin

espacios en blanco ni guiones. - En el siguiente recuadro tu nombre y apellido/s - A continuación tu año de nacimiento (aaaa). - Finalmente elegir el país donde tienes tu nacionalidad. - Para completar el formulario, debes insertar el código Captcha y hacer click en “Aceptar”.

En la siguiente ventana, deberás volver a poner el código Captcha y hacer click en “Solicitar cita”.

El siguiente paso es elegir la dirección de la oficina de extranjería a la que acudirás. En este caso, la opción a elegir es c/ Felicià Fuster 7 (Palma de Mallorca). Después haz click en “Siguiente”.

En el siguiente paso, deberás poner tu número de teléfono, tu email (2 veces) y volver a introducir el número Captcha. Haz click en “Siguiente”.

A continuación debes elegir el día. Para ello, debes hacer click en los recuadros que pongan “1”. Cuando lo hayas seleccionado, saldrá una ventana que te preguntará si “¿está usted seguro?” Haz click en “Aceptar”.

Finalmente, te saldrá la ventana (como en la siguiente imagen) en la que se confirma la cita y tus datos. Abajo hay dos recuadros que ponen “Estoy conforme con la información mostrada en la pantalla” y “Deseo recibir un correo electrónico con los datos de mi cita en la dirección que he proporcionado. Haz click en los dos recuadros y dale a “confirmar”.

Una vez termines el trámite, y haber recogido y rellenado la documentación necesaria,

debes esperar al día de la cita. Cuando llegues a la oficina y entregues los papeles, te darán un documento con una dirección bancaria y una cuenta (dependiendo del día es un banco u otro) en la que deberás ir e ingresar 9,45€. Una vez hecho el pago y obtenido el recibo del banco, debes

volver a la oficina para entregar el recibo. Es posible que te entreguen ese mismo día tu NIE o tendrás que esperar alrededor de 5 días hábiles. IMPORTANTE: Desde que haces el formulario para pedir cita para el NIE hasta que llega el día de la cita, puede haber 2-3 meses de diferencia. Por lo que recomendamos pedir cita para la tarjeta ciudadana y el NIE unos 10 días después de vuestra llegada; así os dará tiempo a conseguir la matrícula de la UIB (o tu tarjeta de estudiante). No olvidéis que primero la cita debe de ser para la tarjeta ciudadana y la siguiente para el NIE. Por lo que os recomendamos pidáis una cita nada más veáis este mensaje.

¿CÓMO CONSEGUIR EL CERTIFICADO DE VIAJE?

Como las personas extranjeras no tienen DNI (Documento Nacional de Identificación, nuestro ID de nacionalidad española), a la hora de sacar un billete de barco o avión no pueden obtener el descuento de residente. Por eso, las personas extranjeras que no tengan el DNI necesitan el NIE y, además, acreditar su condición de residente, para obtener el descuento, con un documento llamado “Certificado de Residencia para Viajes”.

Para empezar, debes entrar en el siguiente enlace: https://seuelectronica.palma.es/portal/PALMA/sede/se_contenedor2.jsp?seccion=s_ftra_d4_v1.jsp&contenido=5243&tipo=4&nivel=1400&codResi=1&language=es

Y a continuación haz click en “Para obtener el certificado telemáticamente, clicar aquí”.

Cuando ya hayas hecho clic, te saldrá una ventana en la que tendrás que poner usuario y contraseña. El usuario es tu número de la tarjeta ciudadana. PERO CUIDADO: si tu número empieza por 0, deberás empezar escribiendo por el primer número que no sea 0. Por ejemplo: 0.012.345.478 = Usuario: 12345678.

La contraseña es tu fecha de nacimiento y debes escribir el año, mes y día (AAAAMMDD).

Cuando el usuario y contraseña estén escritos, haz click en “Iniciar”.

Finalmente saldrá una ventana donde aparece el documento con tu nombre, apellido/s, fecha de nacimiento, NIE y nacionalidad. Debes guardar ese documento e imprimirlo. El día que cojas un avión o barco debes presentar, junto con tu pasaporte y carné NIE, el papel impreso. ATENCIÓN: Este papel sólo tiene una duración de 6 meses; por lo que, una vez superada la fecha, hay que volver a obtener otro certificado de viaje.

The citizens card (tarjeta ciudadana) is a card used to pay the bus with a discount, in your case, for being a university student. In addition, that card has a resident number.

The NIE is the Identity Foreign Number, it is equivalent to the DNI (ID of the Spaniards). This identification number is very useful when traveling, since you can get, with that number, the Travel Certificate to obtain 50% discount when traveling by plane and boat, just like any Spanish citizen residing in the Balearic Islands. So it is a great opportunity for you if you want to travel through Spanish territory.

HOW DO I GET THE CITIZEN CARD?

In order to obtain the citizenship card (remember that it is the bus card) it is necessary to have:

- Your ID. - A flat contract with your name (or if you live in a friend's house, a letter from your friend,

with his ID and name, that says that you live with him / her). - The registration of the UIB or the student card.

HOW TO OBTAIN THE NIE? IMPORTANT: Before beginning this process, you must consider that it is important to have a Spanish address to fill out the form; So when you get to Mallorca and settle in your house, have your flat contract handy. In addition, you must make the Citizen Card (=Tarjeta Ciudadana, which is the same card as the bus) before going to the appointment for NIE; So do not forget to read the previous section. From this step, you have to take into account your nationality, since the students divide you between: Community (students coming from the European Community) and Non-Community students (students coming from outside the European Community, included those coming from non-EU countries through European universities). The following screen informs you that you must deliver, on the day of the appointment, the original application form EX-18 (see attachment) and copy. The next step is to choose the day and time of the appointment. It is advisable that you choose an appointment from the 10-15 days of your arrival in Mallorca, so that you will have time to get your Citizen Card and the student card of the UIB (and / or registration). Unfortunately, only 3 days are shown so if you do not do well, you must go to the form to request the appointment until you can choose one that suits you. Once you have completed the process, and have collected and completed the necessary documentation, you must wait for the appointment date. When you arrive at the office and deliver the papers, you will be given a document with a bank address and an account (depending on the day is a bank or another) in which you must go and enter 10.60€ (in the case of Form Ex- 18). Once the payment is made and the bank receipt is received, you must return to the office to deliver the receipt. It is possible that you will be delivered on the same day your NIE or you will have to wait about 5 working days.

NON-COMMUNITY (with NIE)

As we have said before, non-community students are divided between those who have NIE on the visa and those who do not have NIE. How can we know? For the visa. If you have the NIE, your visa should appear to you:

1) The entry stamp to Spain (or in the Shengen space). 2) In "valid for" you must enter "SPAIN". 3) In "observations" there is written "N.I.E and the number (for example: N.I.E-A-1234567-B).

The next step is to enter your data: passport, full name and surname, nationality and, finally, write the code Captcha. In the "Fecha de Caducidad de su tarjeta actual" box do not write. Once completed, click on "ACEPTAR".

Then write the Captcha code and click on "SOLICITAR CITA".

Then we must select the office where you will have to go, in your case the address is c / Feliciá Fuster (p. lateral), 7 (Palma de Mallorca). Click on "SIGUIENTE".

After selecting the office, we have to fill in the data that they ask us next:

- Phone number - Emaill - Retype email - Write the code CAPTCHA

Then click on "SIGUIENTE".

The next step is to choose the day and time of the appointment. It is advisable that you choose an appointment from the 10-15 days of your arrival in Mallorca, so that you will have time to get your Citizen Card and the student card of the UIB (and / or registration). Unfortunately, only 3 days are shown so if you do not do well, you must go to the form to request the appointment until you can choose one that suits you. Non-EU students who have not obtained the NIE with their visa must click on the following link https://sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es/icpplus/citar?p=7 and select "Illes Balears" from the box Of "PROVINCIAS DISPONIBLES". In the next window that will pop out, "TRÁMITES DISPONIBLES PARA LA PROVINCIA SELECCIONADA", select the option "Asignación de N.I.E" and then click "Aceptar".

In the following window, we are told that we need:

- If you belong to the European Union: 1. Copy of ID (double-sided) or passport 2. Indicate the reason for the request. 3. Submit Form EX-15 (Attachment 1, spanish version) and make a copy. - If you do not belong to the European Union: 1. Photocopy of the passport. 2. Indicate the reason for the request. 3. Submit Form EX-15 (Attachment 1, spanish version) and make a copy.

In both cases, you have to fill in the form EX-15, BUT you do NOT have to sign it until the

person who attends you in the foreigner's office authorizes you!!!

Click on "Entrar".

The next step is to enter your data: - First you must choose the type of document, in this case "Passport". - In the first box, that has “Passport” in it, you must write your passport number without

spaces or any other signs. - In the following box your name and surname(s) - Next is your year of birth (yyyy). - Finally choose the country where you have your nationality. - To complete the form, you must insert the Captcha code and click “Aceptar".

In the next window, you must re-enter the Captcha code and click on "Solicitar cita".

The next step is to choose the address of the foreign office which you will go to. In this case, the chosen option is c / Felicià Fuster 7 (Palma de Mallorca). Then click "Siguiente".

In the next step, you must put your phone number, your email (2 times) and re-enter the Captcha code. Click on "Siguiente".

Next you have to choose the day. To do this, you must click on the boxes that have a "1". When you have selected it, a window will appear asking you "¿Está usted seguro?" (Are you sure?). Click on "Aceptar".

Finally, you will get the window (as in the next image) in which the appointment and your data are confirmed. Below are two boxes that say “Estoy conforme con la información mostrada en pantalla” (I agree with the information displayed on the screen) and “Deseo recibir un correo electrónico con los datos de mi cita en la dirección que he proporcionado” (I want to receive an email with my appointment information at the address I have provided). Tick both boxes and click on "Confirmar".

Once you have completed the process, and have collected and replenished the necessary documentation, you must wait until the day of the appointment. In that day, when you arrive at the office and deliver the papers, they will give you a document with a bank address and an account (depending on the day is one bank or another) where you must go and enter 9,45€. Once the payment is made and the bank receipt is received, you must return to the office to deliver the receipt. It is possible that you will be delivered on the same day your NIE or you will have to wait about 5 working days. IMPORTANT: Since you make the form to request an appointment for the NIE until the day of the appointment arrives, there can be 2-3 months of difference. So we recommend to request an appointment for the citizen card and the NIE about 10 days after your arrival; This will give you time to get the registration of the UIB (or your student card). Do not forget that the appointment must first be for the citizen card and the next for the NIE. So we recommend you ask for an appointment as soon as you see this message.

HOW TO GET THE TRAVEL CERTIFICATE?

As foreigners do not have ID (National Identity Document, our ID of Spanish nationality), when purchasing a ticket by boat or plane, they can not get the resident discount. For this reason, foreigners who do not have a DNI, need the NIE and, in addition, to accredit their resident status, with a document called "Travel Certificate of Residence" (Certificado de Residencia para Viaje) to obtain the discount.

And then click on "Para obtener el certificado telemáticamente, clicar aquí".

When you have clicked, you will get a window in which you will have to put user and

password. The user is your citizen card number. BUT BE CAREFUL: if your number starts with 0, you must start by typing the first number that is NOT 0. For example: 0.012.345.478 = User: 12345678.

The password is your date of birth and you must write the year, month and day (YYYYMMDD). When the username and password are written, click on "Iniciar".

Finally a window will appear where you will have the document with your name, surname/s, date of birth, NIE and nationality. You must save that document and print it. On the day you take a plane or a boat, you must present, along with your passport and NIE card, the printed paper. ATTENTION: This paper has only a duration of 6 months; So, once the date has passed, you must obtain another travel certificate.
