“Should” (deber) y “ ought to” (deber) expresan frecuentementa la probabilidad.
Should y ought to van seguidos de un infinitivo y en general se refieren al presente.
Se usa “should” (deber) cuando se trata de acontesminetos esperados o
probables.
Ejemplo: The train should arrive very son.
Nota: la forma negaretive de should se shouldn’t
Ejemplo : they shouldn’t be hard to find.
Se enplea “ought to” para espresar una supocicion.
Ejemplo:he is intelligent. He ought to pass the exam.
Nota
La forma negative de “ought to” es ought not to pero se utiliza en muy pocas
ocaciones

Muy a menudo se emplea should en lugar de ought to.
El empleo de else
Else (otro) se usa dspues de los compuestos de “some” , “any” , “no”, “every”.
Ejemplo: you should ask someone else; I have nothing else to tell you.; es there

Otros usos del genitivo sajón
El genitivo sajón se usa solo con sustantivos que designan a seres vivos , grupos ,
instituciones y países, sino también con sustntivos que se refieren a una fecha –con los
días de ka semana y adbvervios como “today” , “yestreday” , un tiempo determinado o
unadistancia.
Ejemplo: fecha Sunday’s weather; tomorrow’s flight; next year’s budget
Duracion: three week’s vacation.

La concordancia de los tiempos se costruye asi:
En el estilo indirecto: cuando el verbo de la oración principal es un verbo de
opinión o de declaración (“to think”: pensar, “tos ay”: desir, “to tel”:contar..)

en “simple present” o en “preterite” , el verbo de la oración subordinada se
conjuga de la siguiente manera:

“preterite” “preterite” o “conditional” o “past perfect”
Ejemplo:
principal subordinada Tiempo de la subordinada
He says It doesn’t matter Presente

Con la subordinadas introducidas por “that” o por un pronombre relativo:
cuando la oración principal esta en “preterite” , el verbo de la subordinada se
conjuga normalmente en “preterite”.
Ejemplo: We were the ones who did it.
“when”-“while” + presente
Los verbos de las oraciones subordinadas de tiempo introducidas por conjuciones d
tiempo (“after”, “as soon as “, “as long as” , “as much”, “before” , “once”, “until”, “when”,
“whenever”, “wherever”, “while”…) siempre van en “sinple present” cuando el verbo de la
oración principal esta en “future”.
Ejemplo: They’ll eat as son as they arrive.
Before we leave, we’ll help whit the cleaning.
When I come back, I’ll call you.

A- formacion
La forma del “present subjunctive” corresponde a la forma del infinitivo sin “to”.
Ejemplo: I suggest that you try this beer.
He ordered I be there at ten o’clock.
B-ejemplo
El “presente subjunctive” es utilizado en el lenguaje culto para expresar:
una orden ( después de “to order”, “to command”,”the order”..)
una sugerencia (despues de “to suggest”, “to insist”, “to ask”, “the
suggestion”…)
una nesesidad (despues de “it is necessary that” , “it is imperative that”, “it is
important that”…) y sveces despues de “on the condition (that)”..
ejemplo:
the judge gave the order he not be penalized.
The lawyer asks the session be closed.
It is imperative that you participate in this project.
El pasado subjuntivo
A- Formacion El “past subjunctive” tiene la misma forma que el indicative , exepto para el verbo “ to be”
El verbo “to be” se conjuga con “were” en todas las personas.
En el lenguaje coloquial , se usa a menudo”was” en 1ra y 3ra persona del singular (I was,
he was).
B- Ejemplo Se utiliza el “past subjunctive” dspues de “if” ,”if only”, “as though/as if”, “even if”
(iniciando una supocicion) , “wish”, “suppose” , “imagine”, las expreciones del mismo
significado(deseo, apariencias y supociciones) y a veces, despues de “unless”.
Ejemplo:
If I were (o I was) you, Iwould tell him the truth.
I suppose you were not at the bus station, then.
She left even though she seemed to be hapy.

Expreciones con to have.
En algunas expreciones “to have” (haver, tener) tiene un significado concreto y se
conjuga con el auxiliary “do”. Las mas corrientes son: “to have a bath” (tomar un
baño) “to have a lunch” (almorasr) “to have arest” descansar, “to have a look”
echar un vistaso.
Ejemplo: Did you have a bath last night?
We’ll have lunch in a typical New Orleans restaurant.
Estas expreciones pueden conjugarse en la forma progrciba o en impoeratibo.
Ejemplo: They’re having a rest on the terrace.

Para analizar las causas y las concecuencias de una situacion actual o para acer
prediciones sobre el future se pyede utilizer la estructura “to have reason to”
(tener rason para )+ infinitivo. Esta estructura se puede utilizar para evaluar el
estado de algo o para espresar ipotesis sobre la evolución de una cituacion.
Ejemplo: they have reason to worry about the contract.
Since demand is so high, we have reason to believe that sales will continue to
climb this year
Si se quiere indicar cual es el tema de algo se puede utilizer la exprecion “ to have
to do with” tener que ver con
Esta esprecion se puede utilizar para resumir el tema , los contenidos o lsa ideas
de algo. Tanbien se puede utilizar para indicar la rason de una llamada.
Los adverbios de grado
Para indicar la intensidad de un verbo , adjetivo o adverbio, se puede utilizar los adverbios
de grado.
Ejemplo: He is extremely exited about the preject.
En el ejemplo anterior “extremely” indica la intencidad de adjetivo “exited”
Los adverbios de grado se pueden agrupar según su nivel de intensidad asi:

Ña espresion “as….as” (tanto…como) se usa para comparer dos personas (ogrupos de
personas) o dos cosas (o grupos de cosas) que posean las mismas caracteristicas.
Se construye de la siguiente manera:
“as + adjetivo o adverbio + as
Ejemplo: My brother is as tall as my dad.
You speak French as well as I do.
Para espresar los resultados esperados o previstos con los reales se puede utisar la
estructura “as…..as” con algunos partisipios pasados. Como: expected, anticipated
y predicted.

El presente perfecto
El “present perfect” expresa siempre una relacion entre el pasado y el presete.
El “present perfect” se usa para expresar:
Una experiencia vivida
Ejemplo: I have been to china before
I have never smoked.
Una consecuencia en el presente de un estado o de una accion en el pasado.
Ejemplo: I’ ve tired to learn chinese dut
I haven’t succeeded.
El “perfec condicional con “should”
El “perfect condicional” construido con “should” (should+ have+participio pasado)
expresa:
Un lamento o un reproche.
Ejemplo: I should have goten up earlier.
I wouln’t be late now.
They should have let us know.

Que algo a tenido que producirse.
Ejemplo: you should have received my e-mail. I sent it a half hour ago.

A veses se usa el “simple present” en lugar deñ”present perfect”:
