TASMANIAZOO
Tasmania zoo is non-government funded. Ongoing care of animals, zoo grounds and infrastructure is funded purely through admission charges, the gift shop and Meerkat Munchies Cafe.As a member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association, we work closely with all Australian zoos, and are involved in various species management programs.Tasmania Zoo is also committed to caring for injured and orphaned wildlife. Some of these animals are unable to be returned to the wild. As you walk around the zoo, you will meet many of them whom all have their very own unique story.

Smoke free The zoo is smoke free. Please do not smoke while at the Zoo. Pass-outs are available from gate staff.

Kiosk Open 9.00am - 4.00pm daily. Hot and cold take-away food, sandwiches, ice-creams, hot and cold drinks. Hot food 11.00am - 2.30pm daily.
Feeding machine (99) Feeding machine is located near zoo entry. Feel free to take a cup ($2)
Conditions of Entry - The owners and operators of these premises and attractions shall not be liable for any injury or damage to any property arising from any cause whatsoever (including the negligence of staff) while on these premises attending any of the attractions. It is a condition of entry that all children under the age of sixteen years shall be accompanied by adults who shall be solely responsible for their conduct and safety while on these premises.
