the dawn of time. There are so many types of music that we need to classify them according to their purpose. These are what we call Music Genres

MUSIC GENREVocal music: It is a type of music
performed by one or more singers, with or without instrumental accompaniment (a cappella), in which singing provides the main focus of the piece.

MUSIC GENREINSTRUMENTAL mUSIC : This genre
applies to any music played with instruments alone.
There are two types: Pure Music and Descriptive Music
MUSIC GENRE VOCAL AND INSTRUMENTAL: This genre
applies the combination of the instrumental and the vocañ genre

MUSIC GENRERELIGIOUS GENRE : Religious music (also
sacred music) is music performed or composed for religious use or through religious influence. Ritual music is music, sacred or not, performed or composed for or as ritual.
MUSIC GENREPROFANE MUSIC: This genre comprises
any composition that serves non religious purpose, wether liturgical or non-liturgical and which is used for entertaiment or for cultural or educational purposes.
Examples: folk music
MUSIC GENREFUNCTIONAL GENRE: This genre
applies to music that serves as a backdrop to important events such as commemorations,shows and opening ceremonies.Example: olimpic hymn.
MUSIC GENRECINEMATOGRAPHIC GENRE: This is when
motion picture sound tracks are used to reinforce the film´s message , maximising the sentiments and the emotions in the script.

artistic expressions acted out on a stage,as in plays,operas …
MUSIC GENREPUBLICITY GENRE: Used for radio and TV
ads, this genre employs i the same way films do. This genre is created to instill the viewer an idea to get you to buy something. This type of music is often catchy.
