INGLÉS IV Comparatives and Superlatives
Los comparativos y los superlativos son partículas que nos permiten identificar y al mismo tiempo
describir las características de personas o cosas a las cuales nos referimos.
a) Comparativo (comparación entre 2 personas o cosas). Se utiliza para señalar una diferencia en una característica que presenta una persona o cosa con respecto la misma característica de otra persona o cosa.
Susy is taller than Ralph
Susy is thinner than Ralph
Susy is prettier than Ralph
Susy is more charming than Ralph
b) Superlativo (comparación entre 3 o más cosas). Se utiliza para realzar la característica más
sobresaliente que posee una persona o cosa de entre un grupo del mismo tipo.

Lila is the shortest
Mario is the tallest
Annie is the happiest
c) Comparativo. Se utiliza cuando se realiza una comparación de la misma característica que
presentan dos personas o cosas resulta ser de la misma magnitud, es decir, no hay diferencia
entre características.

INGLÉS IV Tag question
Son pequeñas preguntas que van SIEMPRE AL FINAL de la oración y se usan:
Cuando no estamos seguros de algo y buscamos que la otra persona confirme la información.
Cuando deseamos que la otra persona esté de acuerdo con nosotros.
Se pueden presentar los siguientes casos:
CASO 1. Cuando se habla afirmativamente, entonces se usa una pregunta negativa.
Susy is at the market, isn´t she?
The boys are the school, aren´t they?
She talked about cancer, didn´t she?
CASO 2. Cuando se habla negativamente, entonces se usa una pregunta positiva.
Alex didn´t take piano´s lessons, did he?
She hasn´t see the doctor yet, has she?
CASO 3. Cuando se usa un “auxiliar” o “modal” en la oración, entonces se usa el mismo “auxiliar” o
“modal”.
You should use a bus, shouldn´t you?
You couldn´t see her, could you?
NOTA: Al usar la “tag question” debe usar el mismo verbo, tiempo de conjugación y persona que la
oración original.
