Dal passato al presenteFrom the past to the present

Thanks to the productive flexibility, constant researchand technological innovation, the Elektrovent line offans fulfills all requirements of a market in continuousevolution. From this perspective our Technical CommercialOffice is able to assist our customers on selecting themost suitable product or system, proposing customizedand technically reliable solutions. The quality of our service is guaranteed by theexperience matured in the sector, the constant supportof the Technical Office and the acknowledgmentresulting from the use of the CFD software(Computational Fluid Dynamics). CFD is able tosimulate and determine all the fluid-dynamic variablesof a ventilation system or a fan in the conditions ofwork set.Analysis proceeds from a 3D mathematical modelwhere the specific parameters of the system (air, temperature, transitions) and materials featuring theproject are entered.
CFD analysis is mainly required in the undergroundcar parks ventilation based on a distribution of a seriesof axial or centrifugal impulse fans (JP-DUCT or JP-CENTRY) having the double duty to create an airflowin the ground level to intake the air from outside andconvey it to the fans; while on the ceiling, the airflowis threw fan by fan and lead to the discharge points, avoiding the installation of ducting.

I parametri
che possono essere valutati sono molteplici, ad
esempio: velocit dell'aria, pressione statica,
tempera tura , d iss ipaz ione te rmica ,ecc . .
o centrifughe).
In we use this type of analysis not onlyto facilitate the design stage, but also to check thedifferent solutions offered. Parameters to beconsidered are for example: air speed, static pressure, temperature, thermal dissipation, etc.
plays an incessant activity ofdevelopment of the product using the CFD softwarealso for the design of our impellers (both axial orcentrifugal).

Airflow (Q)Volume of air to be exhausted or introducedin a place in a period of given time. It isusually expressed in m3/h or m3/s.In Italy to calculate the airflow there aresome different ways:
1) According to the volume of the place andthe number of the required air exchangesper hour in relation with the use in the room:
INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT EXCHANGES / hHarmful environments 30 - 60Stock House 3 6Foundry 20 30Industrial laundry 15 30Machines room 20 30Workshop (in general) 8 10Workshop with ovens 30 60Mechanization workshop 5 10Painting workshop 30 60Welding workshop 15 30Dry-cleaners 20 30

These values are indicative and they neverhave to replace the normative figures and theycan be modify according to specialrequirements.
2) According to the quantity of peoplehabitually present in the place and theiractivities:
20 -40 m3/h per person in case of normalactivity.108 m3/h per person in case that smoke isallowed.45 m3/h per person in case of light physicalactivity.60 m3/h per person in workshops and otherrooms.
3) According to the air velocities requiredfor the capture of particles or the velocityof transport of the same in the ducts.
VELOCITY OF CAPTATION m/sKitchen hoods:- domestic application 0,2 to 0,3- commercial application 0,2 to 0,5Evaporation vats: 0,25 to 0,5Degreasing: 0,25 to 0,5Welding, pickling 0,50 to 2Galvanization 0,50 to 1Painting boot 0,40 to 1Grinding , rectification 2,50 to 10
VELOCITY OF TRANSPORT m/sDust: 10Flour: 15Sawdust: 15Thin metallic dust: 15Wooden shavings: 18Metallic shavings: 20 to 25
To calculate the airflow multiply this speed (v)for the air crossing section (S):Q (m3/h) = v (m/s) x S (m2) x 3600
4) In function of the quantity of exceedingheat to be removed:
In general for the refreshing of environmentsthe airflow to be exhaust is given by the followingformula:Q (m3/h) = Number kcal/h (*) 0,3 (Ta Te)
Where 1000 watt = 1 kW = 860 kcal
Ta = Ambient temperature (C)Te = External temperature (C)(*) = Quantity of heat to be removed (see table1)

Fan lawsThe characteristic curves of fans respond tocertain laws, denominated fan laws, thatallow to determine the variation of airflow(Q), pressure (H) and the absorbed powerby the impeller (N), in presence of thevariation of the working conditions, RPM (n)or density of the handled air (y) or dimensions(Diameter of the impeller D).
