Artesanías Although a variety of handicrafts may
be found in central America, probably the most well-known are las molas, traditionally made by indigenous Kuna women in Panamá.

Molas are fabric panels, usually sewn onto blouses and worn by Kuna women. The panels have cutouts of geometric figures which reveal the layers of contrasting colors.

Ciudad de Panamá Panama City lies on the Pacific coast of
Panama. On the northeastern fringe of the city a platform offers visitors a good view of the Panama Canal, and the city’s most famous feature.
Stretching 80 kilometers (49 miles) from Panama City to Colon (on the Atlantic side), the canal is considered an engineering marvel and one of the most significant waterways on Earth.
Every year over 14,000 pass through its complex series of locks.

Archaeology Central America possesses a wealth of
areas of great archaeological interest. There are thousands of archaeological
sites, many of them yet to be unearthed. However, the evidence available suggests that Central America has been densely populated during thousands of years.
The different cultures and civilizations that have inhabited the region left behind architecture, sculpture, ceramics, murals, and other artifacts that reveal a window to the past.
