Comunicación con los padres
Semanalmente, cuando los padres recogen a sus hijos en la tarde, repartimos una hoja suelta con las “Noticias
Importantes”. En esta hoja publicamos a manera de recordatorio noticias, algunas de ellas ya publicadas en el
Weekly o en la página de Washburn. Hemos encontrado que algunos padres no están leyendo, por lo que no
están al tanto de algunas actividades que se están llevando a cabo en el Colegio, no se enteran si hay que
recoger a los estudiantes temprano porque hay una actividad o llaman a la oficina a preguntar información que
ya está publicada. En Washburn tratamos de mantener informados a los padres todo el tiempo, por favor
necesitamos que lean nuestros comunicados.

maestros (el día ya está programado en nuestro calendario escolar).

Talent show
Una vez más nuestros estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de brillar como estrellas exponiendo sus talentos en el
Talent Show al llevarse a cabo el viernes, 18 de marzo de 2016 en al Centro de Bellas Artes de Juana Díaz a
las 7:00 PM. El pasado año fue todo un éxito, gracias a la participación de nuestros estudiantes y el apoyo
recibido por maestros, padres y familiares. Esperamos una vez más poder contar con su presencia. La hoja de
participación así como la orden de boletos serán entregadas a los estudiantes.
Recordatorio: El viernes 18 de marzo, habrá clases en periodos cortos. Los estudiantes saldrán
temprano para que puedan prepararse para la actividad Talent Show, que se ofrecerá a las 7:00 PM.

durante esta semana:
- Conferencia interactiva a estudiantes de noveno a duodécimo grado.
Recurso: Sra. Gisela Laffite-Representando a la Procuraduría de la Mujer con el tema
Violencia O Maltrato Entre Parejas
- Organización y desarrollo del “Pin and Ring Ceremony” para los estudiantes de la clase graduanda de
12mo grad. Resultando está muy lucida con la excelente participación de padres y estudiantes.
- Celebración competencias de matemáticas
- Confraternización de padres maestros y estudiantes en la celebración del “Kite Day”. Actividad muy
concurrida donde se compartió de una forma distinta.
Aprovechamos esta oportunidad y con mucho respeto profesional les enviamos una felicitación calurosa a la
mujer puertorriqueña (madre, esposa, maestra, abuela, etc.) en la celebración del Día Internacional de la Mujer
(8 de marzo de 2016)

Esta semana culminamos con la ronda de talleres dirigidos a la escuela secundaria. El martes, 8 de marzo,
estaremos ofreciendo el taller Manejo de Emociones a 7mo y 8vo grado. Varios de los talleres que fueron
ofrecidos a estos grados serán brindados a 10mo grado próximamente.
Les recuerdo que continuamos con la venta de camisetas y artículos relacionados al evento Relevo por la Vida
que se llevará a cabo del 30 de abril al 1ro de mayo en el Parque Francisco “Paquito” Montaner. Durante esta
semana se entregara el primer pedido.
Esperamos poder saludarles personalmente el próximo viernes, 11 de marzo, cuando estaremos disponible para

Aprenderemos a apreciar y valorar otras culturas.
ENGLISH: We will also begin a new chapter. The Sky. We will learn about clouds, sun, stars, moon, rain,
thunder, rainbow and other things that have to do with nature and God's creation.

I highly recommend reviewing, spelling and reading all the High-

let’s help them become great readers!
