1.0 INTRODUCCIÓN

Con este documento se presenta el análisis y diseño de la Torre de Observación 1 y 2. Esta memoria es el soporte técnico del plano No. CD-A019-PL-041.

2.0 SISTEMA DE UNIDADES

En esta Memoria se emplea el Sistema Internacional de Unidades.

3.0 DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA ESTRUCTURA

Son dos torres de Observación. Sus dimensiones son: en planta de 3.6x3.6 mts a ejes, altura total de 7.60 m; volado de 0.30m y pretil perimetral, ambos de concreto en los niveles 5.00 y 7.50. Escalera de acceso, a base de estructura metálica, desplantada del nivel 0.00 al nivel 5.00 y ventana perimetral entre los niveles 5.00m y 7.5 m.

El sistema de piso usado es losa maciza de concreto en los niveles 5.00 y 7.55, apoyados en trabes metálicas tipo I, que a su vez descansan en columnas metálicas huecas rectangulares. Adicionalmente se colocan perfil tubular entre columnas al nivel 2.500m.

Las Torres de Observación se desplantan sobre una losa de concreto reforzado de 30 cm, con dimensiones en planta de 4x4m.

Acompañan a esta memoria de cálculo los siguientes anexos:

4.0 CARGAS DE DISEÑO

4.1 Peso Propio

El peso propio corresponde al peso de los elementos que gravitaran sobre la estructura permanentemente, como son la estructura metálica, losa de concreto, pretil y ventanas. Para obtener el peso propio de la estructura se calcula el volumen y se multiplica por el su peso específico, que para el caso de del concreto reforzado es de 23,54 knewton/m3 (2400 kg/m3) y para el acero es 76,98 knewton/m3 (7850 kg/m3)

4.2 Carga Viva

Se considera una carga viva de 2.39 kN/m2 (244 kg/m2) en el nivel 5.00 m y en el nivel 7.50m [4].

4.3 Sismo en la Estructura

El sismo de diseño de las torres de observación, se considera un sismo con coeficiente sísmico de cs=0.2 de g. El factor de comportamiento sísmico se considera de Q= 2.

4.4 Viento en la estructura

Para el diseño por viento, se considera como una estructura cerrada, en las que las presiones exteriores actuantes en las paredes verticales se calcularán utilizando la siguiente ecuación

El calculo de la presión dinámica base y las presiones exteriores en muros barlovento, lateral y sotavento se muestra en el anexo 1.

4.6 Combinaciones de Carga

Las combinaciones de carga para acero son:

- Condición de C. vertical máxima: U = D + L

- Condición de C. vertical +sismo: U = D+L+Ex+0.3 Ez)

- Condición de C. vertical +viento: U = D+L+Wx+.3Wz)

Las combinaciones de carga para concreto son:

- Condición de C. vertical máxima: U = 1,4*D + 1,7* L

- Condición de C. vertical +sismo: U = 0,75 (1,4*D+1,7*L+1.1*1.7*Ex+0.3 1.1*1.7*Ez)

- Condición de C. vertical +viento: U = 0,75 (1,4*D+1,7*L+1.7*Wx+.3*1.7*Wz)

Donde D es la carga muerta, L la carga viva, Ex y Ez fuerzas sísmicas de la estructura y Wx y Wz fuerzas de viento.

5.0 ANÁLISIS ESTRUCTURAL 5.2 Análisis estructural

5.2.1 Modelo de Análisis

Se hace un modelo espacial con base en elementos placa para las losas de dimensiones aproximadas de 30 x 30 cm, y elementos barra para las columnas y trabes, ver figuras del modelo en el Anexo 1 de esta memoria. Los elementos placa son de 0.30 m de espesor para la losa de cimentación, 0.10 m de espesor para losas superiores y de 0.08m para los pretiles. Para el análisis y diseño de la estructura se usa el paquete de computadora STAAD III especializado en análisis de estructuras. Los listados de las corridas se presentan en el Anexo 2.

Las condiciones de frontera en el desplante de la solera son apoyos elásticos (resortes), para obtener la rigidez de los resortes se procede de la siguiente manera:

Se determina el módulo de reacción de la roca de acuerdo con el criterio de Terzaghi que mediante el módulo de elasticidad de la roca, la relación de Poisson de la roca y el ancho de la estructura se determina dicho módulo. Por definición, el módulo de reacción es la relación entre la presión aplicada al medio y la deformación que ésta causa. Un valor medio del módulo de reacción puede determinarse aproximadamente como:

P = Presión media en el contacto concreto-roca.

δa = Deformación elástica teórica promedio

La deformación media se calcula con la siguiente expresión que se supone un elemento infinitamente rígido respecto al medio al que se transmite la presión, además de las

consideraciones propias de la teoría de la elasticidad y de que la presión es uniforme en el área en que se aplica:

Simplificando, el módulo de reacción del terreno se obtiene con la siguiente expresión.

Para la losa de cimentación, se considera una sección rectangular, L=5.5 m y B=2.00 m, teniendo entonces un factor de forma de αe = 1,50

Se proponen las siguientes propiedades mecánicas:

Módulo de elasticidad de la roca debil Er = 400 MPa

Módulo de Poisson µ = 0.25

Módulo de reacción de la solera Ks = 70970 kN/m³

Para determinar las condiciones de frontera en el modelo de análisis se procede de la siguiente manera:

Se ubican resortes elásticos en todo el contacto de la estructura con la roca. Para calcular la rigidez de cada resorte se multiplica el área tributaria de cada nudo por la constante del resorte (módulo de reacción).

Se liberan los grados de libertad asociados a momentos en las tres direcciones ortogonales en todos los casos y a las direcciones no ortogonales a la superficie de contacto, dejando restricciones en algunos nudos que no afecten el análisis y para que el programa no marque inestabilidad del sistema.

Se hace la corrida para cada una de las hipótesis y se revisa la dirección de la fuerza de cada resorte, si alguno de los resortes trabaja a tensión se elimina. Este proceso es iterativo, eliminando resortes hasta que en una corrida los resortes que se conservan estén todos a compresión. Se sigue este proceso para cada combinación de cargas.

Se procede de la siguiente manera: con base en el estado de esfuerzos en la base, se obtienen los momentos y cortantes en un modelo de computadora que idealice la losa, siendo la reacción del terreno la fuerza aplicada y el contacto con los muros las condiciones de apoyo. Se hace de esta manera, pues se considera conveniente analizar la losa en dos direcciones

6.0 DISEÑO ESTRUCTURAL 6.1 Diseño estructural de losas de concreto

Las losas se diseñan por el método de factores de carga y resistencia, se sigue lo especificado en la A.C.I. comité 318-99, considerando los elementos mecánicos de la combinación más desfavorable en el análisis estructural.

La cuantía mínima de acero de refuerzo será como se establece en el A.C.I. 318-99, capítulo 7.12, para elementos a flexión tipo losas y zapatas:

cuantía mínima: ρ = 0.0018 para acero de refuerzo de fy = 4200 kg/cm2

a) El refuerzo requerido por flexión puede obtenerse mediante las siguientes expresiones:

La cuantía máxima para elementos a flexión esta limitada por el 0,75 del porcentaje balanceado para garantizar que la falla de la estructura se encuentra dentro del comportamiento dúctil. De acuerdo con la referencia [1] el porcentaje balanceado se calcula con la siguiente expresión:

b) Diseño a cortante

Dado el concepto de losas y muros, es conveniente que el cortante último lo tome íntegramente el concreto sin necesidad de refuerzo de acero.

La expresión que se usa para calcular la contribución del concreto al cortante es:

Este valor debe ser superior a Vu que es el cortante último. No obstante, se acepta que en zonas localizadas se coloque acero de refuerzo mediante estribos o grapas para obtener la resistencia al corte requerido.

c) Control de Agrietamiento.- Se sigue lo establecido en el capítulo 10.6 del A.C.I. comité 318-99 donde se especifica que la separación máxima del acero de refuerzo para un buen control del agrietamiento en la zona de tensión debe cumplir con la expresión:

Pero no mayor de 30 cm para varillas con acero de refuerzo de 4200 kg/cm2

Donde:

s = separación de las varillas fs = esfuerzo de tensión en el acero de refuerzo, puede tomarse como 0,6 Fy Cc = recubrimiento libre del acero a tensión.

En el caso del revestimiento de las losas, Cc se establece en 5 cm,para la losa de cimentación y 2.0cm para las losas superiores, entonces la separación máxima recomendable de las varillas en la zona de tensión será de: 25,59 cm, o sea 25 cm. 6.2 Diseño estructural elementos de acero (ASD)

6.2.1 Materiales

Los resultados del diseño estructural se muestran en el anexo 3, aunque se hizo la revisión para todos los elementos, solo se listan los más esforzados.

7.0 CONCLUSIONES

Del estudio efectuado se puede concluir lo siguiente:

La losa de cimentación es de 30cm con refuerzo de Ø 5/8”@25, losa superiores de 10cm de espesor y refuerzo de Ø 3/8”@20, columnas de sección hueca rectangular de 15.2cm por lado y espesor de 5/16”, trabes IR 200mmx10.0kg/m.

El diseño a flexión de los elementos de concreto se realizo utilizando los elementos mecánicos ya factorizados, del programa de análisis. En las siguientes tablas se muestra un resumen de diseño de los elementos a cortante, flexión; cabe mencionar que aunque se hizo la revisión para todos los elementos, por fines prácticos solo se muestra el diseño para algunos elementos El diseño de los elementos de acero, que son columnas y trabes, fue usando el programa STAAD.
