This document (EN ISO 15614-1:2004/A2:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44"Welding and allied processes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding” thesecretariat of which is held by DIN.

This Amendment to the European Standard EN ISO 15614:2004 shall be given the status of a nationalstandard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by August 2012, andconflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by August 2012.

This European Standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commissionand the European Free Trade Association to provide a means of conforming to Essential Requirements of theNew Approach Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC.

Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union under that Directive and has beenimplemented as a national standard in at least one Member State, compliance with the clauses of thisstandard given in table ZB confers, within the limits of the scope of this standard, a presumption of conformitywith the corresponding Essential Requirements of that Directive and associated EFTA regulations.
