THE BEGIN OF THE VISIGOTHS

They arised from other groups, probably the Teringios, that

invaded the Roman Empire in 378 a.C. in the Andrianopolis

war.

CONQUEST OF THE VISIGOTHSThey conquisted the south of Galia, and in 507 a.C.

Hispania, they defetead to the Suevos and the

Vándalos that lived in the Iberian Peninsula from III

until V a.C.

CULTUREIn the visigoth society had a big importance the agriculture and the crafts (had a great importance, The sentence order is not right), They were big / powerful makers of accesories.

ART AND ARQUITECTURE

In the visigoth art, the most common things (Aspects) were the architecture and the goldsmithing.

In the visigoth arquitecture the

principal thing (feature) is the arc with form of horseshoe.

MAIN CHURCHES IN SPAIN7th Century does show a new way of

constructing that we call Hispanovisigothic architecture, since it

only exists in Peninsular area. Buildings that came to our days in a satisfactory state are few. Moslem destroyed an important part of

churchs, specially in Visigothic cities -Toledo, Tarragone and Cordoba -, leaving rare

celebrated in Toledo, the capital of Hispania. (In the) concilios (it) support

the king and it talks about his petitions. It were celebrated in a

metropolitan church. (It was usually tried religious issues.)

Religious issues were discussed there.

In the 711 a.C. the muslims defeated the Visigoths under the command of the king Rodrigo in the Guadalete

river war (battle)
