About Us
Centro de Entrenamiento Industrial y Minero
Centro de Entrenamiento Industrial y Minero (Mining
and Industrial Training Center), which depends on
Fundación Educacional Escondida (Escondida Education
Foundation), is a Center for Vocational Education and
training, leading in labor competency development and
qualified workforce training.
Levels: Entry Level and Standard based work
development (under Chilean Mining Industry
Competency Framework, MCM by it’s Spanish
acronym).
Scope: Operators and Maintainers / Mine – Plants.
Leadership: Workers availability, safety and
productivity.
Our Purpose:
Being a leader organization training people
for the mining industry, under a competency
development model based on the Chilean
Mining Industry Competency Framework
(MCM). Our services are provided with:

Why was CEIM Born
Centro de Entrenamiento Industrial y Minero
“First Meeting of the Network of Mining Regions”
The goal was to meet the training
demand and to develop the
competencies the workforce needs
to perform the mainteinance of
industrial equipment and machinery
for the mining industry.
The initiative was developed as a
response to the requirements
within Escondida Mining Company
in order to increase mining and
metallurgical equipment availability,
and its subsequent positive impact
in productivity.
