Hernán Darío GómezJaramillo, also known as ElBolillo (born February 3, 1956 inMedellín) is a Colombianex-football player and the currentmanager of Panama.
He was an active player from1966 to 1985.
He successfully led Ecuador totheir first World Cup finals in
2002.[1] However, he resignedafter a disappointingperformance by the Ecuadorianteam at the Copa América 2004.
During the World Cup 2006, hewas a commentator for CanalRCN.
On the May 5, 2010 theColombian Football Federationannounced that Gomez wasappointed as the successor ofEduardo Lara, who left theselection after failing to qualifyfor the 2010 FIFA World Cupfinals.
On February 15, 2014, Gomezwas announced the new managerof Panama.

The nationalteam players even support this regarding certain statements where they weredisappointed with his actions but forgived him considering his immediate regret.Thus the Colombian soccer federation has postponed a final decision on whether
to accept Gomez’s resignation until after the Under-20 World Cup.[6]
