4. The Local Interstellar Medium

El medio interestelar (ISM en ingles) es la materia que llena el espacio entre los sistemas estelares en las galaxias. El ISM incluye gas atómico y molecular (99% de la masa), partículas de polvo, rayos cósmicos y la materia oscura.
