1. Dates of the European weeks
Jan 29, 2012 – Feb 4 European week in Altentreptow
April 14, 2012 – 21 April, 2012 European week in Jöhvi
Sep 15, 2012 – Sep 22, 2012 European week in Koszalin
2. How to start the project at each school
- introducing the Comenius project to teachers (at teachers’
conference) and students (in classes)
- recruting a group of pupils who is willing to work on the
project and take part in a European week
- preparing wordlist for the minilessons (Altentreptow gives first words)
3. Preparation for the first European week in Altentreptow
- Germans prepare mini-lessons for the European week in Altentreptow for the 1st workshop
- Production of the DVD with:
general geography,
school and school system
of the country,
typical language
features
- chatroom on the
involvement
of other teachers
and subjects
Responsibilities and first results
- Altentreptow gives green light for the 1st European weekby Nov 11, 2011
- All schools are to recrute 15 to 16-year-old students
- Altentreptow creates a website/webspace for all
participating schools
- All schools are to prepare an interactive
game for the European week
- All schools are to start the logo competition at once
- Each school votes for the best 3 logos and brings those ones to the Europeanweek in January
- We all create an album (logos and names of the best 10 logos) and aPower Point Presentation of thiscompetition for the Webspace
- We produce a T-shirt with the winninglogos (shamrock symbol +
schools or countries)
- Each coordinator provides Altentreptowwith ideas for the questionnaire onstereotypes and Altentreptow creates a questionnaire with scales 1-5 (true, partlytrue …) and finally Altentreptow produces a Power Point Presentation on the results(collage production will be decided in Altentreptow)
• 5. Programme of the European week in Altentreptow
- Workshops on learning the language of the country you stay in
carrying out the stereotype-discussion
- Good things: excursion to Berlin and Schwerin (parliament)
- Disco at Dance Oase + Karaoke
- Bowling first night
