FARKAS

Leslie Farkas nació el 18 de abril de 1915, en Rózsahegy, Hungría (hoy Eslovaquia). Se graduó de la escuela de medicina en 1941 y sirvió como médico militar en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Después de la guerra, se trasladó a Praga, donde se convirtió en un miembro del equipo de cirugía plástica en la Universidad Carolina. Su interés en la morfología craneofacial comenzó durante su periodo en Praga.

Leslie Gabriel Farkas, MD (1915-2008), puede ser descrito como el pionero de la antropometría craneofacial moderna. Su dedicación de toda la vida a la investigación en la antropometría craneofacial generado un cuerpo de trabajo detallado lo largo de casi medio siglo que representa una importante contribución a nuestra comprensión del complejo craneofacial.

En algún tiempo pensamos que el análisis antropométrico de nariz, ojos, en general de

todo tercio superior y medio de la cara debía reservarse para una etapa posterior a la cirugía ortognatica, y se reservaba este

análisis para una etapa posterior a la cirugía estética.
