8. Importance of the invention

BEFORE THE INVENTION• Before the blackboard invention,

students carried slates which they kept in the lap during classes.

AFTER THE INVENTIONAfter it was used in schools, colleges,

universities and other educational institutions, and in business meetings and conferences

9. Curiosities

• In Scotland, a geography teacher took all the slates from the students and mounted together on the wall and used the entire set-up to teach the whole classroom instead of writing on individual slates. In addition to creating a revolution by such an idea, this system led to the idea of blackboards and saved classroom time for students.

• Today, blackboards are seen in various classrooms, galleries, halls and even in restaurants to display “menu of the day” or even prices! You may even see blackboards during dart matches to record team scores.

10. Personal Comments

• La pizarra es importante en mi vida porque puedes corregir la tarea y te enseñan mejor las cosas que no entiendes.

• Mi invento, en el futuro, podría evolucionar de la siguiente forma: que alguien le pueda dar una instrucción a la pizarra y aparezca escrito lo que se le ha pedido. De esta forma no escribiríamos nosotros y sería más rápido.

• Me ha gustado este trabajo porque he aprendido otras cosas nuevas que no sabía antes de la pizarra.
