WE COUNT ON YOU!

A community speaks a lot when it is Jesus’s com-munity. When it speaks about Jesus and allows it-self to be inspired by His teachings and examples: “I came to serve and not to be served.” When Jesus is proclaimed and we do not spend our time

speaking only about ourselves. When we glorify Jesus and not our own merits and qualities. When we gather around Jesus and not around ourselves. When we lean on and rely on Jesus and not on our own strengths. To be nourished by Jesus and not to seek nourishment from yourself. A community is not weakened by its faults, ra-ther by the absence of faith. It is not broken by tensions but by forgetting about Jesus. It does not remain small from the lack of values, but because the presence of Jesus within them is small. It does not stop breathing because of lack of fresh air, rather, by denying that Jesus is the source of it. A community is strong, when Jesus within it is strong. A community has value when Jesus, within it, accounts for its value. A community marches united when Jesus is among them, when we are united in Je-sus. A community grows when it extends itself to Jesus. A community lives when its life comes from Jesus. A community believes and fulfills when it is a community of and for Jesus. We are ONE WEEK AWAY FROM CELEBRATING OUR BAZAAR, and we NEED MORE HELP FROM THE COMMUNITY. In what? 1. If you took raffle books/tickets, please sell them and turn in the money at the rectory or on Sunday at the Raffle Table. Thank you for your valuable help. 2. Helping with your Time, Tal-ents, and Treasures. Help us by working in some of the booths. Very few people have volunteered. Approxi-mately 7% have volunteered, where are the other 93%? Where are you? 3. Help to get donations from family, friends, and businesses: ground beef, tortillas, lettuce, to-matoes, cheese, and cooking oil. Prizes for the games and the Loteria. 4. Helping with publicity: take a picture of the flyer of the bazaar on both sides and post it on Face-book and ask your contacts to forward it and invite them to our bazaar. Utilize these means for this good cause. 5. Pray for the unity and fraternity of all the workers at our Bazaar. Una comunidad dice mucho cuando es de Jesús. Cuando habla de Jesús y se deja inspirar por sus enseñanzas y ejemplos: "He venido a Servir y no a ser servido...". Cuando anunciamos a Jesús y no pasamos el tiempo hablando de nosotros mis-mos. Cuando nos gloriamos de Jesús y no en nuestros méritos y cualidades. Cuando se reúne entorno a Jesús y no entorno a si mismo. Cuando se apoya en Jesús y no en sus propias fuerzas. Cuando vive de Jesús y no de sí mismo. Una comunidad no se tambalea por los fallos sino por su falta de fe. No se debilita por sus pecados, sino por la ausencia de Jesús. No se rompe por las ten-siones sino por el olvido de Jesús. No se queda pequeña por carencia de valores, sino porque Jesús dentro de ella es pequeño. No se ahoga por falta de aire fresco, sino por asfixia de Jesús. Una Comunidad es fuerte, cuando Jesús dentro de ella es fuerte. Una comunidad pesa cuando Jesús, dentro de ella, tiene su peso. Una comunidad marcha unida, cuando Jesús está en me-dio, cuando estamos unidos en Jesús. Una comuni-dad se extiende, cuando extiende a Jesús. Una comuni-dad vive cuando vive de Jesús. Una comunidad con-vence y llena cuando es la comunidad de Jesús. Estamos a UNA SEMANA PARA CELEBRAR LA KERMES, y estamos NECESITANDO MAS AYUDA DE LA COMUNIDAD. En qué? 1. Quienes recibie-ron boletos de la Rifa, deben entregar el dinero en la oficina parroquial o el Domingo en la Mesa de la Rifa. Gracias por su valiosa ayuda. 2. Ayudar con su Tiempo, Talento y Tesoros, ayudar en alguno de los puestos, son pocos los que se comprometen, aprox. 7% y los otros 93% donde están? somos muchos, porque tenemos tan poca ayuda? 3. Ayudar conseguir donaciones, familia-res, amigos, negocios: Carne molida, tortillas, lechuga, tomate, quesos, aceite...Premios para los juegos y la lotería. 4. Ayudando en publicidad: tómele una foto al flyer de la Kermes por los dos lados y envíela por Face-book a sus contactos y pídales que la reenvíen e invíte-los a nuestra Kermes. Utilicemos estos medios para una buena causa. 5. Ore por la unidad y fraternidad de los servidores de la nuestra Kermes... BIBLE WEEK WAS A GREAT SUCCESS! Bible Study Week was a great success with the participation of many people from the Community and Ministries. People from other parishes visited us eager to grow in the knowledge of the WORD OF GOD and Learn to PRAY WITH THE BIBLE ... They demonstrated that Catholics like to study the Bible. Hoy para tener cualquier cosa, hay que ir a la tienda. Todo tiene su precio. Pero hay cosas muy buenas que todavía son gratis y que seguirán siéndolo siempre: El aire que respiramos, el sol, la amistad verdadera, la Alegría, la lealtad, la paz, el mar, el canto de los pájaros, El paisaje, las flores del campo, las estrellas, la lluvia, la Luna, el amor de nuestros padres, las plegarias de una Comunidad. Y para el amor que Dios nos tiene no hay que ir a la tienda a pagar. Estas son algunas de las cosas que nos da la vida y que todavía hoy son gratis.

EVERYTHING HAS ITS PRICE !

Nowadays if you want something, you have to go to the store. Every-thing has a price. But there are many good things that are still free and they will always be: The air we breathe, the sun, true friendship, Joy, loyalty, peace, the sea, birds singing, the landscape, the flowers in the field, the stars, the rain, the moon, the love of our parents, the prayers of a community. And for the love that God has for us there is no need to go to the store to purchase it. These are some of the things that life gives us, and they are all still free today.

* Repita en frecuencia: A nosotros, bendito sea Dios nada nos falta, pero nada nos sobra. No nos queda nada para dar…

* No olvide que no debemos sacrificar el porvenir de los hijos por andar ayudando a cualquiera…la caridad comienza por casa…

* Convénzase que por más que se sacrifique en dar, jamás podrá remediar las enormes necesidades de tanta gente miserable… Quienes piensan así, endurecen su corazón, se vuelven egoísta y le fallan a Dios!

We have nothing left to give … * We cannot sacrifice the future of our children by helping others…after all, charity begins at home … * Convince yourself that no matter how much you sacrifice, you can never alleviate the needs of so many miserable people ... Those who think this way, harden their hearts, become selfish and fail God!

YOUR SUNDAY OFFERING IS GRATITUDE TO GOD "My offering to God every Sunday is a small amount of how much He gives me" "Those who offer much, will receive much ..." How long will you continue giving God your Sunday CHARITY instead of OFFERING ...? Charity is what I have left over, a few coins or a dollar ... Offering means to give God and my Church a portion (10%) of what I receive from my salary or check. Let us treat God with LOVE and RESPECT, let's be more GENEROUS and we will see the BLESSINGS OF GOD!
