XXXIII FESTIVAL DE LA MUSICA
LINCOLN INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY
Lincoln International Academy invita a ustedes a participar en el XXXIII Festival dela Msica a realizarse el da viernes 10 de Octubre de 2014 en nuestra sede de Chicureo,con la participacin de alumnos de 1 bsico a 4 ao medio.
1.- PARTICIPACIN
1.1. Los alumnos podrn participar en calidad de solistas o grupos vocales (con acompa-amiento en vivo o con pista) y bandas.
1.2 Habrn tres niveles de participacin:
Nivel I alumnos de 1 a 4 bsicoNivel II alumnos de 5 a 8 bsicoNivel III alumnos de la Enseanza Media
1.3 Los participantes solistas o grupos vocales, podrn hacerse acompaar con msi-cos en vivo (profesores y/o alumnos) o con pistas.
1.4 Los participantes deben traer sus pistas o karaokes grabados en formato WAV MP3 en un CD o enviarlas va email. stas no pueden traer la meloda principalcantada o ejecutada en instrumento.
NOTA: en el mercado existe una enorme oferta de karaokes o pistas a un bajo costo (loideal es adquirirlas en un tono que acomode al participante). A su vez, en internet existenmuchas ofertas de karaoke
1.5 Los participantes solistas o grupos vocales (con acompaamiento en vivo o conpista) y bandas sern premiados diferencialmente. En la audicin se determinardnde los participantes califican en esta distincin.
1.6 El jurado tiene la prerrogativa de premiar cada nivel dependiendo de cuantas cate-goras existan en l, y de la cantidad de participantes. De haber un solo participan-te en una categora, se entregar Mencin Honrosa.

2.- INSCRIPCIN
2.1 Dejar un sobre con toda la informacin y documentos en Lincoln InternationalAcademy (Av. Seaquist s/n, Tel: 496-7650), a nombre de Jake Sheehan desde elmartes 19 de Agosto, hasta el viernes 12 de septiembre a las 16:30. La informacintambin puede ser enviada por e-mail a: [email protected]
La ficha de inscripcin se encuentra adjuntada al final de esta circular.
2.2 Al formalizar la inscripcin, se debe entregar:
a) La ficha adjunta con todos los datos completos.b) El texto completo de la cancin a interpretar, escrito en PC,c) Una copia en CD de la pista o karaoke grabada en formato WAV MP3 (cer-ciorarse que la grabacin sea de buena calidad y est completa desde la introduc-cin hasta el final).
2.3 La falta de uno o ms requisitos enunciados en el punto 2.2, ser causal para noconsiderar la inscripcin.
2.4 En caso de recibir canciones repetidas, tendr prioridad el solista o grupo que pri-mero haya formalizado la inscripcin.
2.5 IMPORTANTE: Los textos de las canciones a interpretar deben ser consecuentescon la edad e intereses de los participantes
3.- SELECCIN
3.1 El mircoles 24 de septiembre se har la audicin definitiva. La nmina de clasifi-cados se dar a conocer el viernes 26 de septiembre. Previo a dicha audicin, se lesenviar un e-mail confirmando el horario de presentacin en nuestro cole-gio.
3.2 Los grupos debern presentarse a la seleccin con todos sus integrantes y la totali-dad de los instrumentos que correspondan. Lincoln International Academy facilita-r como backline una batera, 1 amplificador de bajo, 1 amplificador de guitarra y1 teclado.
4.- VARIOS
4.1 Ser facultad del Comit Organizador del Festival tomar las determinaciones quecorrespondan sobre cualquier materia no contemplada en estas bases.

4.2 Las decisiones del Comit Organizador del Festival con respecto a organizacin,desarrollo, seleccin, jurados y resoluciones, son inapelables.
4.3 La inscripcin en el XXXIII Festival de la Msica del Colegio Lincoln Internatio-nal Academy, implica la aceptacin de las decisiones del Comit Organizador, Ju-rado seleccionador y Jurado del Festival, renunciando expresamente a toda condi-cin que se oponga a estas bases.

LINCOLN INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY
Lincoln International Academy would like to invite you to our XXXIII Music Festi-val on Friday, October 10th, 2014. This event will take place in our Chicureo campus andwill be offered for students from 1st to 12th grade.
1.- PARTICIPATION
1.1 Students can participate as solo artists or vocal groups (with live or pre-recordedbackgrounds) and bands.
1.2 Students will participate in one of three levels:
Level I students from 1st to 4th gradeLevel II students from 5th to 8th gradeLevel III High School students
1.3 The contestants who are performing as solo artists or those who are part of a vocalgroup may be accompanied by live musicians (teachers or students) or a musicalbackground.
1.4 Selected participants must hand in the musical track in WAV or MP3 format rec-orded on a CD or send it via email. This recording must not contain lyrics of the
principal melody, or an instrumental version of the principal melody.
NOTE: Musical tracks for many songs can be found at a low cost, the idea is to find a mu-sical track that accommodates the contestants voice. Before a student registers a song, it isrecommended to find the musical tracks on the Internet or elsewhere.
1.5 Contestants who are performing as solo artists or a vocal group and bands will beawarded differently. During the final audition it will be determined if the partici-pant will be considered as a solo artist, vocal group, or as a band.
1.6 The Jury has the prerogative to award differently each level according to the
amount of participants and type of performances, which can result in 1 or morecategories. If there is only one contestant in a category, an Honorable Mention willbe given.
2.- REGISTRATION

2.1 Hand in e an envelope with all the necessary information and documents at Lin-coln International Academy (Av. Seaquist s/n, Tel: 496-7650) directed to Mr. Ja-cob Sheehan. Registration process will last from Tuesday, August 19th to Friday,September 12th, before 16:30. The information and documents can also be sent viae-mail to:[email protected]
A registration form has been attached to this circular.
2.2 A complete registration must include:
a) A completed registration form.b) A typed copy of the song lyrics.c) A CD with the background track in WAV or MP3 format (this recording mustbe the complete song from beginning to end and in very high quality).
2.3 If one or more of the items in 2.2 are missing, the registration will not be consid-ered.
2.4 If there should happen to be songs that are registered more than once, the solosinger or group which first formally handed in the registration will be allowed toperform the song.
2.5 The song lyrics must be appropriate for the age and interests of the audience.
3.- SELECTION
3.1 On Wednesday, September 24th, the pre-selection audition will be held. The final
contestants will be announced on Friday, September 26th. Before that audition, youwill be contacted via e-mail and informed with the time of your presentation.
3.2 Contestants must come to the selection process with all of their group members andall of their instruments. Lincoln International Academy will provide a backline of adrum set, 1 guitar and 1 bass amplifiers, and 1 keyboard.

4.- OTHER
4.1 The Organizing Committee will be in charge of making any decisions that havenot been previously contemplated.
4.2 The decisions made by the Organizing Committee with respect to organization,development, selection, juries and resolutions are not open to debate.
4.3 By registering in the XXXIII Music Festival at Lincoln International Academy oneaccepts the decisions made by the Organizing Committee, the selection jury andthe festivals jury. One also acknowledges that these decisions are not open to de-bate.
