Alejandro P. Waudby es un creador audiovisual y diseñador multiplataforma galardonado con más de 9 años deexperiencia en educación. Durante sus 7 años como ESL Teacher, ha investigado como los nuevos medios fomentanel aprendizaje. En 2016 funda WET_edugames, startup que genera proyectos educativos digitales de carecerinmersivos, galardonada como uno de los 12 proyectos más innovadores por la Universidad de Sevilla. Su proyecto“The Group of Experts” fue uno de los finalistas al mejor proyecto educativo en el Gamification World Conference2016.

Anne Robinson regularly gives seminars, webinars, workshops and plenaries. She is the author of Fun for Starters,Movers and Flyers, published by Cambridge University Press. The 4th editions of these books include preparationfor the 2018 revised tasks and coverage of the full wordlists.

Angel Anderson. Angel has been teaching for over 30 years, mainly in Spain and mainly preparing teenagers forthe Cambridge upper suite exams. He has also been involved in management, course development and teachertraining, but is happiest in a classroom surrounded by kids. When not teaching or leading the Cultural EnglishCentre's Friday writing workshops, he can be found co-running the centre's theatre club.

Ben Crompton is the Assistant Director of Studies at ELA in Úbeda, having joined the teaching team there in 2011.Prior to this he studied for his MA in English Language and Linguistics in Glasgow. Ben specialises in teaching teensand exam classes, and has a keen interest in exploring how technology and collaborative learning can be used inthe English language classroom. Since 2013 he has run a dedicated Pronunciation course for teens and adults.

Bernabé Bulnes was born in Seville in 1982. He made his first short film in 2003 with a few companions of thecineclub of the Faculty of Communication where he graduated in 2004. After several years of education as cinemadirector and producer crossing Europe, he returned to Seville in 2009 to shoot his first short film with a professionalcrew: "Un hombre solo" (A man alone, 2010).

Brian Engquist has spent over 20 years as an English teacher and teacher trainer. He often speaks about BlendedLearning, advances in technology applied to education, assessment, and the evolving roles of teachers and studentsin this landsield. He works as Teacher Training Department Manager for Spain and Portugal............................

Boelo van der Pool. Boelo is NOT a teacher. Nevertheless, he's been involved in language learning and teaching forover 25 years. He's learned Dutch (mothertongue), German, English, French, Indonesian (just a little) and Spanish.Since 1994 he's worked in the language industry and in 1999, together with his wife, Angie, started their ownlanguage school (Babel Idiomas) in Málaga. Boelo is a language learner and a coach and helps their school's teachersto enhance the learning experience of their students.

Borja Uruñuela is the Head of Education at St. James (Seville) and he is also the Vice-president of ACEIA. Borja hasbeen teaching English for 25 years. He has written CLIL material for Kid’s Box (Cambridge University Press) andhe is a Cambridge speaking examiner. In the last few years he has finished an MBA and has been exploring EmotionalIntelligence through an Emotional Intelligence Programme which he has implemented at St. James.

Carmen Plaza has been teaching English for 15 years in a variety of educational settings and is currently ProfessionalDevelopment Coordinator at Active Language, Cádiz. Her background as a translator has given her practicalinsights into the use of language and how it drives communication, insights she brings into the classroom togetherwith an enduring interest in the brain, learner mindsets and learning how to learn.  

Chaz Pugliese is an author, trainer and presenter working out of Paris. He’s published ‘Being Creative’ (Delta, 2010)and ‘The Principled Communicative Approach’ (with Zoltan Dörnyei and Jane Arnold, Helbling, 2015). His latest book,Creating Motivation, is out in 2017 (with Helbling). In 2013 Chaz founded, with Alan Maley the Creativity Group. Akeen jazz/blues musician, Chaz likes any music that’s honest, genuine and raw.

Claire Martine Moloney started her teaching career as a Language Assistant in a Primary School in Malaga 6 yearsago and hasn’t looked back. Having originally trained to be an Art Teacher, she decided to focus on EFL. She hasbeen working in Nep English School, Malaga since 2015. This year she has become their Head of Studies. She is veryinterested in the learning experience as a creative process, working collaboratively and anything to do withcomputers.

Chris Roland is an 'ideas man' based at ELI here in Seville. He considers himself a '4x4' or 'all terrain' teacher andtrainer meaning that he covers YL, teenager and adult classes. He tutors on the Trinity Diploma course forOxfordTEFL, writes supplementary materials for a number of editorials and contributes regularly to ETp magazine. He enjoys thinking about the limitations of classes as both spaces and events and things that work in them andthings that don't.

Daniel Barber is a teacher, trainer and writer based in Cádiz. He has been teaching for 23 years in Mexico, the UKand Spain. As well as writing commissioned material, he co-wrote From English Teacher to Learner Coach. He isan experienced tutor on Trinity Certificate and Diploma TESOL courses. Interests include teachers’ roles in languagelearning, evidence-based teaching and the mysterious complexity of skills development. Daniel is on NationalGeographic Learning’s team writing a course for primary. 

Gareth Sears has taught for 4 years in both the UK and Spain, specifically with teens and adults. His interestsinclude teaching pronunciation, EdTech and materials design. For the latter he was winner of the CambridgeEnglish international poster design competition in 2016. He comes from a background in music and technology,both of which he brings with enthusiasm to his classroom.

Jane Revell has been involved in English language teaching for more than forty years. She has taught in classroomsin Rwanda, Spain, Germany, Venezuela and France and trained teachers all over the world. She has written manyELT coursebooks– most recently Jetstream from Helbling English for adult learners - as well as readers, children’sstories, teachers' books, and BBC radio and video material, including several prize-winning titles. Jane is a certifiedinternational NLP trainer and also a qualified Pilates instructor.

Jenny Thomas. After studying Psychology at Oxford University with a special interest in language acquisition anddevelopmental psychology, she qualified as a TEFL teacher and moved to Spain. She has been teaching for 36 yearsin Mallorca, Córdoba, Lucena and the UK, and in 1989, after completing the DELTA, she opened Idiomaster Languagecentres in Lucena and Montilla (Córdoba) with her husband Alan McDyre. For many years she was DOS at hercentres and is also a Cambridge Speaking Examiner.

John Hayward has been teaching English for 7 years in the UK, Madrid and for the last 4 years in Seville. Born inLondon, he moved to California as a teenager and studied a degree in International Relations at UC Santa Barbara.Since being back in Europe, he has completed the DELTA in 2015, focused on teaching and expanded his knowledgeof 2nd language acquisition.

John Parsons was for thirteen years a director of a book distribution business in Russia. During this time heworked extensively in Russia, Mongolia and the Former Soviet Union. He was also heavily involved in the RussianState Exam for English language and co-authored thirteen books of practice tests. He has given countless lectureson modern fiction and British culture, written book reviews and articles for various travel magazines. He partowns a PR business based in Barcelona.

Su campo de especialización es la enseñanza del léxico.

Katalin Csuba has over ten years experience in EFL and works as a full-time teacher at the British Council, MadridTeaching Centre. She holds MAs in Education and English Language and Literature and has the Trinity TYLEC. Shehas a special interest in SEN, mainly focusing on dyslexic students in an EFL classroom and the inclusive learningenvironment.

Kathryn Hornby. I have been teaching in Almeria for the last 6 years, for the last two at McGinty School of Englishas the Business English Co-ordinator. I have been passionate about music, however, all my life. I play flute and bassand have sung in many well known locations including Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Centre in New York, The RoyalAlbert Hall and No. 10 Downing Street! Joining these two passions of mine is extremely important for me.

Kieran Donaghy is a teacher and teacher trainer at UAB Idiomees Barcelona, international conference speakerand award-winning writer. His website on the use of film in language teaching Film English http://film-english.com/won a British Council ELTons Award for Innovation in Teacher Resources, the most prestigious European mediain education prize the MEDEA Award for User-Generated Media in 2013, and an English Speaking Union Award in2014. Lola Garay-Abad has been a teacher and a teacher trainer for the last 15 years. Trained in languages, methodology,ELT, CLIL and special needs in education, she manages academic programmes, has published academic literature,and delivers professional development courses in main stream education and language teaching. She also teacheson a social educational project; writes, adapts and evaluates materials and books for various educational publishinghouses, and does research. She’s spoken at various conferences ( TESOL, APPI Portugal, Flipped ClassroomEurope,etc).

MARK ORMEROD. Mark is an EFL teacher, teacher trainer and ELT materials writer. Originally from the UK, he hasworked abroad for 25 years. In Barcelona, he has taught at International House, C.I.C. and Merit School. Head ofTeacher Training for Macmillan Iberia between 2001 and 2005, Mark has since gone on to collaborate with Macmillanin the production of the Primary School courses Tiger and Find Out! As well as several books for Macmillan Children’sReaders, and the Holiday World series.

Magdalena Custodio Espinar is an English teacher. She graduated with honors from UCM and has Master’s Degreesin Management and Leadership of Schools from UNIR and Teaching Spanish as a Second Language from UJC. Shewas Technical Advisory Teacher for the Consejería de Educación, Madrid. She collaborates as a consultant andauthor with Pearson. After 20 years teaching in Primary, she is currently a PhD student at UCM and a professoron the Master’s Course in Bilingual Education at UNIR.

Marta Palomares, studied History and Art at university and speaks 4 languages. She taught at both Primary andSecondary Schools until she entered the world of publishing. She developed a Reading Programme which is widelyused in both Spain and Latin America. She is now an international consultant and gives talks and workshops aboutLanguage-learning, Literacy, Reading and Educational methodologies. Marta has also worked as a literary reviewerfor many years. She loves travelling, reading and cooking for friends and family.

Nikki Unsworth has taught English as a Foreign Language for over 30 years and has worked in the UK, France andSpain, She is the Head of Studies at Centro de Idiomas Macarena in Seville, where she has taught all ages fromyoung children to adults and all levels from beginners to Proficiency. She is responsible for in-house teacherdevelopment there. She is also a Cambridge Speaking examiner.

Paul Seligson has been ‘TEFLing’ worldwide for 38 years and is well-known for his lively, pragmatic training. An MAin TEFL and CELTA assessor, his many publications include English File, Helping Students to Speak, Essential English1-5, English ID (a 4-level course from Richmond, the first specifically written for Romance Language backgroundlearners, available in both British and American English) and now Identities 1 and 2, the B2 and C1-level continuationof that series. He works freelance based between Brighton and Rio de Janeiro, and is absolutely delighted to bereturning to Spain for the umpteenth time.

Phil Thompson is a teacher at St James. He has been teaching and teacher training for 25 years in Spain andBritain. He has given talks at TESOL Spain and France, ACEIA and TEFL del Sur amongst others. He is a CambridgeSpeaking Examiner for Key, Preliminary, First and Advanced. He is interested in getting his students to play andexperiment with language.

PIA LOWIS hails from Germany and has been working at The English Business for 8 years. She holds a degree inMultilingual Communication in English and Spanish. She has been the Head of Studies at the Triana academy since2013 with a main focus on Young Learners and a special passion for Baby English classes.

RACHEL JEFFRIES started her teaching career in 2008 as a secondary teacher of Drama in the UK, later movinginto the world of ELT. She has experience in teaching a wide range of nationalities in various countries includingItaly, Australia and Spain and all ages from pre-primary to adults. She holds the PGDE (Post Graduate Diplomain Education) and the DELTA (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Rachel is currently aTeacher Trainer at Cambridge University Press Iberia.

Richard Alford. I have been teaching for near on 10 years in various countries and have begun to use my experienceto help other teachers with the always challenging, usually fun and sometimes frustrating job of teaching English.Experience includes state school teaching in the UK as an MFL teacher, teaching training and of course a classroomEFL teacher.

Robin Walker has worked in ELT since 1981 and is now a freelance teacher, teacher educator, author and materialswriter. For over 20 years he taught at the Escuela Universitaria de Turismo de Asturias, before leaving to foundEnglishGlobalCommunication. He regularly collaborates with Trinity College London, MacMillan Education, andOxford University Press. His main interests are pronunciation, English as a Lingua Franca (ELF), and teachereducation.

Robert Prince has worked in the English Business in Sevilla for more than 13 years. He is currently head of adulteducation and the coordinator for higher level teenagers. As well as that, he is a mentor and trainer for newlyqualified teachers and also regularly contributes to weekly team meetings and teaching seminars. What he lovesmost is teaching teenagers and the challenges associated with this age group and he considers the FCE to be hisspeciality.

Sarai Lopez es licenciada en Filología Hispánica y ha realizado el máster en Enseñanza del Profesorado por laUniversidad de Granada. Como profesora ha enseñado ELE en instituciones como la Universidad de Hamburgo oel Instituto Cervantes de Gibraltar; igualmente, estuvo dirigiendo su propia escuela de idiomas. Como formadoraha sido ponente en jornadas y congresos en distintos países. Actualmente, combina su labor como asesorapedagógica con su trabajo de investigación para el máster en Lingüística Aplicada de la Universidad Nebrija.

Scott Donald has been working in ELT since 2010. He spent four years in Hungary working for IH Budapest, wherehe held the positions of Senior Teacher and YL-Coordinator. In 2014, he left the cold winters behind and came tosunny IH CLIC Sevilla to take on new challenges, such as examining, speaking at conferences and becoming a CELTAtutor. Always eager to learn, he puts his achievements down to a love of teaching, training and stealing otherpeople's ideas.

Teresa Bestwick has been working in ELT in various contexts for the past twelve years and is currently based inSan Fernando, Cádiz. Over the years, she's developed a passion for PD and is a regular conference presenter,tweeter and blogger at Views from the Whiteboard. Out of the classroom, she enjoys zombie films, craft beersand gardening.

Tez Pearson has been working as an EFL teacher for almost 10 years after studying a degree in Linguistics at theUniversity of Manchester. He joined the teaching team at ELI Sevilla in 2012 and, has since been involved in teachertraining and conference organisation. He is particularly interested in grammatical theory, pronunciation andmotivating teenagers.

Vanessa Reilly is a teacher, author and teacher trainer, and works with teachers from Spain and around the world.She has an M.A. in English Language Teaching specializing in very young learners and is currently doing her PhD.She is the author of various award-winning OUP titles, including 2 Teacher Resource Books, Big Surprise! forPrimary, and Three in a Tree A & B and Oxford Splash for Pre-Primary.

Victoria de las Heras Cañas, es CEO fundadora de Albany School of English, red de centros especializados en laenseñanza del inglés con implantación en Córdoba y en Madrid.
